Microsoft details how you can get Windows 11 early on this webpage. Eight major “builds” of the operating system have been released at the time of publishing for testing. However, Microsoft is still beta testing Windows 11 ahead of that October 5 general release.
This will be the date that you’ll be able to upgrade existing compatible PCs to Windows 11 and buy new PCs with the operating system preinstalled. Microsoft confirmed that Windows 11 will hit general availability on October 5, 2021.
